Are you planning a nursery that includes aztec baby bedding & tribal nursery inspired decor?  Do you ever have major room envy of those almost too perfect aztec inspired nurseries all over social media?! Well we do too, but we are here to help you to achieve that southwest look in the tribal nursery for your little babe with some aztec nursery ideas! Tribal nurseries and decor is oh-so-hot right now and doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon!

tribal nursery & aztec nursery
Above are two of our favorite aztec nurseries.  We love everything about both of these baby rooms!   Our favorite pieces in the room include the tall cactus plant, arrow wallpaper, tribal rug, and wild & free canvas wall hanging.

Your choice of baby bedding can help set the mood for your aztec nursery.  There are so many bedding choices to choose from.  Our aztec bedding collections include various southwestern patterns in different colorways.  You can pick a bold, soft or neutral patterned bedding.  Then playoff the patterns in your bedding when selecting room decor items such as a rug, lighting, storage, etc.

Our Navajo in Gold Bedding Collection to the left incorporates an aztec print with neutral tans, golds and a hint of navy.  Add natural details and textures throughout to create the tribal nursery of your dreams!

Our Temple of Allenque Bedding Collection on the right is the perfect neutral aztec crib  bedding. This baby bedding collection has a subtle aztec pattern with splashes of mint, navy, gold, and rust.

Creating your tribal nursery is all about the details and adding textures to your space!

Baskets, baskets, baskets!

We love these  baskets for the natural textures they bring into a aztec nursery.  They are also great for storing toys and other items in the room. Have fun with baskets and the different designs available. Mix different textures like wicker or banana leaf materials with fun intricate baskets. We love these baskets that we found from West Elm!  They are the perfect addition to any aztec nursery! We want them all!

Have fun with plants and greenery in your nursery! Placing cacti and other plants around your nursery can create that natural vibe in your baby's room. We love the use of cacti because they add greenery to the area, and are easy to grow.  For those of you that weren't blessed with a green thumb, we found some faux cacti at Target. (Pst! Get them here!) Get creative with unique pots and canisters to place your plants in! We also love the animal pots from Anthropologie that we found!

Or if you like the idea of cacti around your space but don't want to commit to that plant relationship just yet, add some fun cacti throw pillows or wall decor with plants. Mixing fun details like these decor items will add color and life to your nursery!

Wall hangings are an easy way to add texture to your tribal nursery! We found this neutral wall hanging from Urban Outfitters that we absolutely love! This one is a little pricey, so for the bargain shopper in all of us, we found a cheaper one at target that is just as cute! (Find it here!)

We love Cara Loren for her fashion blog, but we also fell in love with her nursery she did for her baby boy, Arrow. Her nursery was very neutral with a modern bohemian and tribal feel. Her dream catcher inspired mobile was our favorite! We found a similar one on Etsy if you love it too! (You can find it here!)

A fun addition to your aztec nursery are tribal inspired tents! We love these tents for creating a cozy reading nook for your baby or just for a decorative touch! We want one in our room!

Are you currently designing an aztec nursery? Or maybe you are just obsessed with tribal nurseries like we are! We would love to hear any fun thoughts or design ideas!
